Kipper has a slender, androgynous figure and unmistakeable red hair. Her eyes are pale in hue, one of which seems a bit more artificial than the other. The only thing “flesh” about her is her face and her right arm. A line from her left shoulder to under her right arm signify the end of anything human about her. Everything below is metal, skeletal, and completely bionic. Parts have been mismatched somewhat over time, giving her body a somewhat lanky, frankensteinian quality. Her torso and pelvis appear largely like artificial bone and skeleton, with all her primary operating functions being contained within her rib cage— along with whatever vital organs remain. Her body was built to promote circulation to the parts of her still organic, while providing flexibility and function to her more artificial assets. Don’t ask her how any of it works. She doesn’t know.

She became close to a girl named Cyril, and the two protected and supported themselves with Kip’s charisma and Cyril’s wit. They got in with the wrong crowd during their adolescence, which inevitably resulted in Cyril’s eventual suicide. Kip, in all her grief, looked for an outlet to cope with the loss, and in her volatile state, was introduced to a variety of harmful substances that could dull the ache. Kip slowly became hooked on drugs and alcohol, destroying any chance she had for a normal life. She met a man by the name of Bishop at this time, who helped keep her in line and prevented her from going over the edge, though this did little to put an end to Kipper’s overall addiction. The two fell in love, though, and that’s all that mattered.

They started to get their lives together, trying to fix their mistakes and change things for the better. It was a struggle for Kip, who couldn’t successfully break her harmful habits.

About two years ago, Kip’s addiction worsened to the point where organs like her liver, kidneys, and lungs began to fail. She’d also become extremely malnourished during this time, which worsened her state. She was slowly killing herself and she didn’t care.

This bubbled over into an argument between her and Bishop during a drive that resulted in a reality-shattering car accident that would ruin both their lives.

Kipper lost most of her limbs and severely damaged many of her other organs— had it not been for a nearby EMS vehicle, she would not have survived the accident at all. She was a girl that wanted to feel everything, and now she felt nothing.

What happened after was a blur. Someone powerful owed her a favor, or maybe someone just took pity on her, but she was outfitted with a high-tech prosthetic system by an underground doctor using discarded parts. The doctor was a madman— but it worked. She wouldn’t be able to have feeling restored, or eat proper food anymore, but at least she could be put to work again.

She underwent severe stress through physical and mental therapy. Months of relapse and withdrawal and nearly destroying her new body trying to repeat the same old tricks. But in the end, she came out clean.
